Knowledge is Power’ is the motto of our school. When a student enters school, he is quite ignorant. It is with the help of his teachers that he gains knowledge The teachers who are the torch bearers lead their students to the light of knowledge. Range school, Chandipur is a day school under the aegis of DRDO, Ministry of Defence. It started functioning in the month of May’ 1993 to cater educational needs of the employees of the DRDO, Chandipur, Balasore.
It is affiliated to the Central Board Secondary Education, New Delhi under its 10+2 pattern of education and has Classes I to XII. At the end of class X and XII, students appear for the All India Secondary School examination and the Senior School Certificate examination respectively of the CBSE.
The school presents a majestic appearance and comprises of 6 blocks, spacious class rooms, Well equipped laboratories, a well stocked library and Computer Room. A team of dedicated, motivated and qualified staff are engaged in providing all round development to the students and inculcating the qualities of head and heart to prepare them to face the challenges of a highly competitive world.

The school aims at imparting a Iiberal,broad based and all-round education to students in order to produce young men and women with qualities of leadership, a sense of responsibility, initiative and self reliance and prepare them to enter the ward of work as well adjusted, socially and emotionally balanced and integrated personalities. Besides academics due emphasis is therefore laid on sports, physical education & character building. With this end in view, every effort is being made to inculcate in the students the habits of self help, self discipline, self-less service & hard work. Adequate opportunities are provided to help them progress in the line their talents and capacities permit and for this purpose a wide range of guided activities are planned. Hobbies, cultural activities, elocutions, debates, quiz and essay competition, science exhibition are some of them. In order to foster team spirit rather than aiming at mere individual excellence, the students are allotted Houses and group activities are conducted in sports and games: Our children have been doing well in interschool meets in various sports at district level, state level and also in CBSE Sports meet.

At present the school has one section in each class & total strength of students is 457.The school is affiliated CBSE, Delhi  up to 31-03-2018 & shall apply for affiliation for next five years before 30th June 2017 as per the rule of CBSE,  New Delhi.
